I knew that Edward was devastated by Bella's death when it happened, but I didn't think so much about the horrible pain that it put him in, because the story contains a bit of a time jump there and the reader starts hoping very soon that he'll see her again, even if in another temporal dimension. But after reading this, I could understand the extent of Edward's devastation, because her death at the time felt so final. Birdy's anguish in the end showed just that. Well done! |
