Absolutely beautiful. A touching, sometimes heart-wrenching look at the characters in their old age, and the tenderness of Donnic and Aveline's relationship. My favorite part may be the way that all the characters influence one another's lives in their own small ways.

These two, ESPECIALLY Aveline in particular, are extremely underrated around these parts. Personally, I found her as the most human and relateable of them all.

And that's what made this just so heartbreakingly sweet. Cheers.

totally loved the story with the easter eggs of discworld " where's my cow" and the marigolds too. Very nice, made me smile inside! I reckon being a tank Aveline most likely took a few hits to the head which could precipitate ALzheimers like condition . nicely written all in all.

This is absolutely beautiful. You win for first fanfic that made my eyes water a little. I like the little touches (the marigolds, the daughter named Leandra).

You've evoked such wonderful imagery of a long and loving relationship between the two, with such sadness over the way it had to end. I love this...

I've never read a Donnnic and Aveline Fic before, this really bittersweet. Is she suffering from memory loss?. I know people like this and I can know how sad it is at times.

I love that Merril sent her marigolds, it was a really nice touch.

Overall, this is a great one-shot that I very enjoyed reading, keep them coming!
