Impressive, as always. The part where the Pelican got hit was pretty visceral; seemed like a scene straight out of "Black Hawk Down."

Liked the "Trojan Horses" reference, too.

I totally agree if Halycon. And I'm impressed by the amount of complains about the "Mongoose ATV".

Anyways, Halcyon here. Just wanted to say that I've been very impressed with this story so far. It's original, well-crafted, and mechanically sound. It's always nice to read a story from a regular's point of view, especially with the insights into the UNSC's Mongoose/rocket Marine pairing, which always seemed to be a bit of a match made in you-know-where.
