Really, outstandingly good. You've captured that weird mix of good and bad memories and overlapping, seemingly contradicting feelings perfectly. Also, the characters seem to be spot on. ;) Looking forward to more.

Holy crap, this is mind-blowingly gorgeous! So few writers acknowledge that Booth has been put through the emotional wringer as much, if not more, than Brennan, let alone portray it with such aching beauty. For the love of everything that is great in fanfic, you need to continue this!

There are a few "Booth's father comes back and causes trouble" stories out there but I like the way Seeley reacts in yours. There is anger, but he controls it and when he faces his father he recognizes that he's older and thus no long can be pushed around. But he doesn't try to push his father around either.

I loved your fic and the way you approached their relationship. It was so mature and passionate as they really are.

I'm relatively new to the Bones FF world (but not the show itself) and I'm so astounded by the quality of some of the work that is on here; especially this piece. I'm in awe of the way you write and I recognise that both Booth and Brennan can be quite hard characters to write and keep in character, yet I don't find much of anything written here that seems OOC. The flow and ease of both of these chapters is amazing and your writing is so imaginative, so vivid, and I feel like I'm watching this on screen. If I had to quote my favourite parts, I think I'd end up quoting your whole story back to you... the flashbacks are equally heartbreaking and so beautifully written, and nicely tied in with scenes from their everyday life (running, breakfast) and also the scenes with Cam and Booth's father; you definitely have a way with words. I am very much looking forward to seeing which direction you take this story and eagerly anticipating the next chapter I can lose myself in.

"I'm not nervous. I don't want to go because my teacher is stupid. I already know how to read and tie my shoes and spell my name and count. Why can't I go to daddy's school?"

Awww, I can totally see lil Brennan saying that.

I loved this whole scene. I loved seeing how scared Brennan was because she didn’t have any friends and she was afraid she wouldn’t make any. And she was just a little girl. Awww. I just want to hug her.

"You don't talk to her. You don't even think about her," Booth breathed in a low, dark tone that was far more intimidating than anything he could have yelled.

Protective Booth. I love him so much. Seriously, it’s awesome when he protects her even when she’s not in any danger.

Lovely chapter. The angsty meter is going up.

I love your stories; you put so much depth and layers into the characters we already know, but you don't change them. I think this a great story to tackle, especially since they are forming a family and his parentage has only been examined on a surface level. Thanks for the update!
