Maryx 6/29/05 . chapter 1That was one of my very first femslash stories and I simply loved it. I think most of the love if feel for this fic is for your language. It is utterly wonderful, beautiful, incredible.

Alex Harman 10/19/04 . chapter 1 I think this is the best of all your C/G stories. Having Cho narrate, so that we really get inside her head, makes her a much more interesting character in this short piece than she ever became in canon. The idea of Ginny being emotionally traumatized by her experience with Riddle seems more realistic than the canon portrayal of her, where she doesn't seem to have been much affected. (Though there was that one little exchange with Harry in OotP - "I forgot." "Lucky you.") The bit about the Thirteenth Use of Dragon's Blood was a nice metaphor, especially since, having already read Wizard's Duel, I know what it did to Murgibrook in your fanon.
One thing was just a bit jarring: the way that first embrace is described, it sounds as though Cho is significantly taller than Ginny. That seems highly unlikely, as canon evidence suggests that Cho is tiny: at fourteen, an age when most girls are just about as tall as they're ever going to get, she was described as "a head shorter" than the thirteen-year-old Harry, who hadn't yet hit his own growth spurt. I visualize her as being about 4'10". Ginny, considering who her brothers are, is likely to be at least four or five inches taller by her fourth year.
But that's a very minor quibble, and this is a very good story. |
 nitemarezero 1/27/04 . chapter 1 Dear Monkeymouse:
Your writing blew me away. I've been a long time reader of HP fanfics, and your story is rivaled only by Lori's Paradigm of Uncertainty trilogy, and Cassandra Claire's Draco series, if you've read them at all. Really, I found it better then Firelight, by cattail prophetess, although that was the first one. Take pride in your writing, and email me with anything else you've got! |
samuraiheart 9/2/03 . chapter 1Wow, that was gorgeous! So many wonderful layers! The part where Ginny first rushes into Cho's arms like the one in a thousand snitch is so satisfying and beautiful. I loved the way you characterized them both and the depth of their relationships. This is definitely one of the best Cho fics I have ever read. Very, very nice. :) |
superfunkybeatgirl 8/20/03 . chapter 1That was beautiful: written so well, and Cho seemed very real. Your elegant, poetic style of writing is a joy to read, and the way you handled some complex issues impressed me. It's going on the favourite stories list! |
Elektra3 7/15/02 . chapter 1That was gorgeous. Elegant, descriptive, and richly detailed, it sucks the reader in from the first sentence. I especially loved the way Cho dealt with some very complicated issues, and the part about Harry was very interesting. Also the part about Cedric - "There was no mystery to Cedric at all; he had no Chamber of Secrets." Beautiful, beautiful fic. |
empress nothing 7/13/02 . chapter 1 Wow. This is so heart achingly...real. You touched on subjects that other people (whilst professing to be hands on) would never touch with a very long pole. This what makes it so special: it leaves none of the daily details of life out and retains a wistful...elegance to it.
Ah, to hell with sounding decent. I loved this. Loved it, you hear?
Ahem.

I loved how this fuc was desultory! My fave word. Jumping from topic to topic. Sad that Cedric was no fun. |
Dala1 4/29/02 . chapter 1*smile* This fic got under my skin very slowly and then settled there. Lovely. |
cattail prophetess 4/4/02 . chapter 1Yay, lovely ficcy. I like the writing, the little % "s, and the Socially Acceptable theme. I was sad that Cedric was yucky, but happy about Ginnu. |

Tess3 4/3/02 . chapter 1Wow! You mentioned your story over on the HMS Firefly, so I toddled on over and checked it out... The writing is beautiful, even lyrical in places; you've done a great job of setting the mood and Cho feels so realistic. I love this story. I really love it. I'm impressed.- |
