This is brilliant. You are brilliant. The entire concept is so brilliant, there is no other word to describe it. BRILLIANT! Write more or so help me, I will digitize myself, upload myself to the internet, and turn myself into a virus to take over your computer and make you unable to open any programs except for word-processing and ! (And I bet I really could find a way to do it, too... hmmm...)

.GOODNESS this was funny! And cute!

And very well written. The way Rinzler sees the world around him, the apartment, the process of preparing food, even his own body - it's all so very foreign to him - and you captured that very well.

The moment he stepped into the kitchen to make

pancakes I had sort of a 'yeah-this-can't-possibly-go-well' kind of anticipation going on. Talking to the stove and his reasoning behind it - LOL! The pan incident was priceless - how many times have we all done that! And I can picture Amy and Tom just trying so hard not to laugh when they see him standing there all covered in pancake mix and water.

Definitely made me smile. Looking forward to future updates.

Nice little story. Much more with the warm-fuzzy than your usual works. :)

...So you referred to chapter sixteen and on of Outer Limits. But... they do not exist. O.o Not on this site, anyway. You posting elsewhere faster?

It made me deeply sad when Rinzler referred to the user world early on as "the real world". -_- Is he that messed up about things? One of my favorite moments in Betrayal was the Clu-Flynn-Tron conversation where Flynn got totally called out on referring to his world as if it had more reality. Clu pointed it out, but Tron didn't disagree. Rinzler's in that bad of a state now that he thinks of his own world/existence as unreal? :( Poor guy.

I liked the little details of their place. The cat. The kitchen layout. The work patterns of Tom and Amy. The cat. :D I'm also a bit curious about the timescale; Rinzler says his illness is stable, but the last I remember in Outer Limits, he was having uncontrollable shakes and muscle spasms without frequent contact. If that's the level of stability it's in, leaving him alone seems like a really poor choice.

Great writing as usual; can't wait to see your universe develop.

YOUR BACK TO WRITING...YEA!

Oh,god... You know- it's sad really... I'm a USER, grew up in this world... and I have almost the EXACT same cooking story under my belt...

Sad really.

It was a sweet story (and funny) and I enjoyed having a chapter from Rinzler's point of view.

And... You know- it really makes sense that programs wouldn't be all that thrilled with the idea of eating something that used to be alive. (well, okay... somehow I don't think a guy like CLU would have cared- but most other ones)

And the notion of Rinzler (programs in general, I'd think) having a sweet tooth- I buy that easy.

Couple of questions though.

1) Is this a joint story that will run along side 'Outer Limits', or is Outer Limits finished and this is the continuation?

2) If this IS a continuation- does Rinzler still have a split personality with Tron, or is it more like they've just kinda molded together into one being. (Making a 'kinder/gentler' version of Rinzler)
