Very well-written! Aravis was perfectly in-character. I loved Corin's summary of their unconventional flirting. "Choke on shock" is a great phrase.

This is the first Chronicles of Narnia fic I've ever read, and- I have to say- if others are this great, I may have just found myself a new fandom! (Sorry, Merlin...)

Anyway, I really enjoyed your story! I love Shasta and Aravis and their bickering relationship, and I believe that you portrayed it perfectly! Their banter and emotions were spot-on, and it was a brilliant idea to present it all from Corin's perspective! Wonderful job!

By far one of my favorite Cor/Aravis one-shots. Far too many people trying to write these characters end up watering down one or the other of them, and I am so very glad to see some spunk from Cor!

The Corin POV was a really nice touch, and the moral of the story delivered effortlessly by King Lune.

My only critique would be a slight change of focus. It might just be me, but it seems you started the story focused on Corin's feelings about all the goings on, and shifted so that by the end it was focused more on Cor and Aravis. If this is what you were going for, awesome, but it might have been nice to give a little more attention back to Corin and his thoughts on the developments, rather than just King Lune's analysis. A small quibble that really doesn't take away from a really great short.

Really, well done!

You know, I've noticed that here isn't a whole lot of really good Archenlander fic on FF.N. So finding this? Totally made my day! I love how annoyed Corin was with the two, and just how annoying Aravis and Cor were to each other. And the offhanded proposal was so perfectly them. You really captured the characters so well. Loved it!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! Aslan's Mane! That was bloody BRILLIANT! Please excuse the language, but I'm in love with your phraseology! It was wonderful! And you managed to capture Corin's elusive character amazingly well, he's has a slippery personality and can be quite hard to procure!
