I like where you went with this. Very well written and you actually know how to write a hate crime.

Okay, so I like Lauren too much and pretended it was someone else, but other than that - fantastic. The scene with Mrs Lopez was a perfect start. Santana just can't come out, but she wouldn't mind her Mom asking the right question, wouldn't she? Bittersweet. I have to say, that I would love to read Quinn's POV on this. It might be about three sentences, but her thoughts when she finds her best frenemy in that bathroom... but nevermind, Brittany is the best human being ever! (which means she is completely true to the show for me)

Hurt, anger, fear, defeat and then there is just love. That's what I get from this and it's good.

I imagine that either of these girls would have different approaches to this situation. What Brittany did here made me happier than I can say-anyone would be lucky to have a (girl) friend like her. It's like I felt reassured that Santana would be okay (because yes she's bad-ass but she still could use a saving now and then just like everybody else) because Brittany was there to take care of her in her own Brittany sort of way. I mean, really-the girl snipped off her own hair without hesitation just so Santana wouldn't feel as self-conscious. Love.

That was sad in bits but overall really sweet. The characterization was spot on. Loved the line about being a lesbian having a better benefits package. What a great read!
