Fantastic, it always pleases me when I run across something that give me an extra bit of insight into all the complications, metaphoric and otherwise, that the concept of this Spike-Buffy thing brings up. I love the vampire thing- my only thought is that it jolts me a little too much when I get there. Like, I read, "As I said, a vampire" and I'm like "what the heck is she. . . oh, right", and it's so so smart, but I wonder if there isn't a way to ease the reader into it smoother, maybe another phrase, I think it might be the "as I said" that implied a kind of extra-consciousness, a wryness, that seems uncharacteristic of Buffy's voice in this piece. (wrinkles nose) Sorry, anyway, I'm done. Basically- good job, thanks. :)
