Have you given this story up? I must say, I hope not, because it's absolutely phenomenal. I get absolute chills from your writing. I'll keep checking back, although from the 'last updated' date, I know I shouldn't hope much. I realise real life can be quite a drag sometimes. But I digress... back to the story. The characterisation is incredible, and I love the journal entries. You've characterised James/Harry so well as his orphaned self that I about twitch whenever he's referred to as "Harry it almost seems unnatural, as it must seem to him. Thanks for posting this lovely bit of writing! You definitely have a talent.)

Don't be so hard on yourself. Sirius only comes off as slightly insane. And James is fun. He has a cooler name than Harry. And he has no memories so you can do whatever you want with him. I really like this story, and even if you never get around to updating again, I really love the chapters you devoted your time to _

I just wanted to say how beautifully made your story was. The characters' responses were frighteningly so in character (I mean, cannon-wise), and just so human. Eh, I'm not sure how to say it, but they have depth. They don't seem fake, shallow, and plastic.
