Reviews for Even in the Desert, Flowers Bloom
Schnorkie 11/4/12 . chapter 1
I think your confused... they wouldn't think Shaun's a templar just because he's Catholic. Religion doesn't factor into templary-ness. Templars are behind all sides of religious, politics, you name it. Whatever gets them power. Yes, the crusaders were antagonized in the first game and you're after the Borgia for 2 and Brotherhood, but it really doesn't factor into religious following. The assassins normally have a pragmatic view on religion (especially with the whole First Civ thing), but it doesn't mean they'd condemn their brothers for their beliefs.
Ps 11/8/11 . chapter 4
A touching story. Job was a good place to start, and this is a fair reminder that we can't dilute our faith for 'easy listening'.

Just be careful. (and with 'God caused it didn't he?' it was Satan.)
Ps 11/8/11 . chapter 1
I was skeptical at first, ( about the whole concept and how thus would pan out) but just reading from the first chapter you've written a decent personalization of Shaun. I take it you're going with the protestant faith here.

The opening was a bit abrupt, and still Shaun is highly relatable.
Nomyy 8/21/11 . chapter 4
I almost cried when Shaun spoke to his mother ); I'm so happy how you ended this lovely little fic. :) They kissed!
Nomyy 8/15/11 . chapter 3
Haha I love the reaction to Elijah! xD And these two are so cuuuute together :3 And the last part was so fun! I almost expected Des to say he heard the song when as Ezio - maybe those annoying street performers could have sang it back in Rome... or wait maybe the song is way too new for that xD See, your story is thought-provoking. :)
Nomyy 8/15/11 . chapter 2
Haha, I'm glad my mom once told me the story of Job - I remember asking her similiar questions like Desmond - like why didn't he commit suicide. Still, that wouldn't have been that good of an ending I like how you write - very easy to keep up with who's talking since you manage to keep these two in-character. :D This one goes into my favorites
Nomyy 8/15/11 . chapter 1
Now this is certainly interesting... I like that it's so straight to the point - like Des asking outright if Shaun is gay. Also I can kind of relate to these sort of conversations about belief and the bible. :) I'll keep reading!
One-shot.Dump 7/7/11 . chapter 1
You know, it's stuff like this that makes me want to believe. I loved it. Desmond had such a... well, me reaction to religion. Although, I never had someone like Shaun. Kind of sad how all the people that want me to believe won't sit and talk about it.

Though, that may be because I shy away a little at thoughts of religion. It's one of those things you can't really just fumble through on your own.

The story was beautiful. And, did I mention I loved it?
SaneFangirl 6/18/11 . chapter 1
Wow. That was amazing. As a Catholic fan of Assassin's Creed, this meant a lot to me. Isn't it odd that Desmond so easily forgot that Ezio was a Catholic Assassin?
Skye-Chan 12 6/3/11 . chapter 4
Very strange but intriguing concept for a story.
ardx 5/26/11 . chapter 4
Your friendly neibourhood stalker here. It's a really good story, though I'm not Christian. Are you by any chance? It's still a good story
Kittylyn 5/25/11 . chapter 4
I love this! Words do not truly express how much I adore this! Thank you so much for posting it, it's now going to be my pick-me-up for when I'm feeling down. Keep soldiering on with your writing, you've got talent.
Jacob Shives 5/25/11 . chapter 4
You know in the game the Templars don't believe in religion. That being said: wow. I mean really wow! This is the first of it's kind, an assassins creed fanfic that promotes a religion and not say: it was those who came befor! I love originality and this is most difenaly originanal! Congraulations and I hope you keep writing. (P.S. Why are the assassins so sensitive about faith? In AC 1 Altiar pretity much said men have a right to chose what they believe in and let us not forget the "Leap of faith". I would like to see a prequel fic telling how the assassins lost there faith.)
Novoux 5/24/11 . chapter 4
...I have never been this speechless or breathless like this before from a story. This short story was incredible, I can't describe it at all. The entire story was breathtakingly glorious. I love every bit of this, and the determination in the Lord and the strong faith Shaun and Desmond had. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
Kyuohki 5/24/11 . chapter 4
