This is too funny, watching those 2 usually-cool-as-cucumbers deadly fellows ranting and bitching about their workpartner/brothers' stupidity, idiocy etc etc, but defending them when the other poked fun. The 'pet with one helluva bankroll' comment really made me roll on the floor laughing XD

And ending quite perfectly when the curious waitress gave them the contact of a relationship counselor xD All misunderstood good intentions xD

I have to admit that I've been avoiding the 2011 movie. _My_ Green Hornet is the one from the 1940s serials and the original radio dramas, and that incarnation is 1) smarter than Seth Rogan's and 2) respects Kato's abilities.

But, this fic still works for me. As a "writers can't decide which Asian country he came from" in the late 1930s and 1940s, Kato would have dealt with bigotry. And that's not something you can talk over with your Caucasian boss, even one like Britt. Had Storm Shadow, Cobra and GI Joe been around in the 40s, I'm certain Kato and SS would have wound up in a Chinatown bar venting to each other.

It does sound kind of suspect... yep, that's Storm. Cool as a cucumber.

I don't think I'd want to be anywhere in the path of that car because let's face it, he's drunk too. And he's driving a car with machine guns. Run for the hills!

That was really cute. I can really see how it'd be really therapeutic for both men to bitch like that and bond over the annoying traits of their white guys. From getting them to fetch coffee to trying to kill them... so exasperating. I adore that after hearing SS's white guy tries to kill him and SS's boss practices shooting on targets shaped like SS's white guy, Kato thinks long and hard and declare that his is still worse.

This. Was. Glorious. I say this as one of those evil slashers. I would start to quote favorite bits, buy then I'd probably quote most of the fic.

Drunk SS and Kato? Check. Overcurous waitress who comes to the wrong conclusions? check. Hilarious bitching & drunk SS driving the Black Beauty? Awesome. The ending where the waitress gives Tommy the business card was the icing on the cake. Loved it all.

Ooh! I'm devious. I LIKE it.

I really have nothing constructive to say about this; I'm still to busy cackling in geek-glee and at Tommy bitching about the fact that SE gets laid more than he does.

And the line "I had to stitch it up myself in an alley and almost passed out from blood loss." is unflinchingly badass. Just sayin'.

Also, at some point I may have to get your permission to steal "Head-falling-off-itis."
