Poor Sam, poor Donna. Really sad and realistically-done story I really liked the style in which this piece was written. And I could totally see Sam and Donna sleeping together in that situation, for comfort. I liked the way their two stories paralleled and differed. I am firmly certain that a while after the show ended, Josh and Donna got married, Sam became President, and Josh became his Chief of Staff, so this sort of "alternate" version of that future is really interesting to read.

I feel Donna's pain the way you wrote this piece it is so moving... WOW!
