Wow, you've done it once again! You wrote something so realistic that I can easily believe that's what really happened (or is going to happen). It helps me to forget the disaster that was the season final.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who was under the impression that the vacation scene looked unreal, like a hallucination. I didn't think to bring Amber into the picture like this, though. But I can see the scenes you write with her hand turning into crash cart paddles and everything perfectly clearly. That's an ingenious idea. That the tumors would only be in his leg (or would be the only problem, for that matter)is something I also doubted... Wilson being there for him is great, too. And I really believe that House WOULD call Dr. Nolan for help this time. He has changed at least that much.

Anyway, I thought the authors totally screwed up with that last episode. It practically begs for a re-write (which you effectively accomplished here). They wrote House with the clear intention of killing Cuddy and her family - or at least accept that he is likely going to kill somebody if he drives his car through her living room wall in the perfect knowledge that there are people on the other side of it. It was sheer luck that they weren't at the table moments after he saw them there eating and laughing. He had no way of knowing that, so violent or homicidal tendencies are evident in him now. What have they done to his character? Who thought it would be a good idea, a realistic turn, even, to turn House into a true madman? They should have finished with this season. How are they going to clean up this mess now?

What a marvelous way to work out all the wrongness of the entire incident-fantastic story! I'd love to see you write a sequel...part two...whatever. I'm sure whatever the series writers give us won't be remotely satisfying.

This is heartbreaking and brilliant. Thank you for composing a rational, though bleak, extension of the wack-a-doo finale.
