gibblette 5/31/11 . chapter 1Interesting. I like that it occurred to you to interpret the comment 2 different ways. I certainly don't believe Gibbs' comment was as Ziva examined but it's interesting that she heard it that way. It's almost like she has 2 modes - one for on the job and one for off. She was unguarded. Had it been a suspect she was engaging in conversation, she wouldn't have failed to read Gibbs' facial expressions immediately preceding the comment and therefore wouldn't have misinterpreted. I'm not a Tiva lover so I'm ok that it didn't go in that direction but being a Tony angst addict, I loved that you threw in the nibble at the end of the internal doubt it aroused in Tony. I believe he could chew on that for days until he worked it into a froth. |
megamom2 5/29/11 . chapter 1Clever of you to pick up and run with this story from that line! Great title! |
VioletHawk 5/29/11 . chapter 1Tony knows Gibbs longer...and Ziva is probably hearing what she wants to hear :) |
sliz225 5/28/11 . chapter 1Ooh, nice. That line could be construed either way, and I wonder how the writers meant it. Your last line was especially good. I like both interpretations. |
M E Wofford 5/28/11 . chapter 1This is a really good take on things. Really good. It fits so perfectly! |
Wonderfully Dreaming 5/28/11 . chapter 1Surprisingly it's NOT anti-tiva. It was more neutral and towards the end (starting from Tony's POV), it became more tiva. Especially the last line. (: I think your subconscious is trying to tell you something. Good AU views. Good fic. |
AnotherStupidNickname 5/28/11 . chapter 1Nice. I guess you can understand 'Don't lose him' two ways. Hm. I wouldn't have even thought to consider Ziva's point of view since Gibbs *always* suspects something about someone for a more or less plausible reason. The lines in italics - are they lyrics to a song? Or a poem? |
