Balthazar is almost the definition of angst. Poor thing; no wonder he has such a wicked sense of humor.

I'm quickly finding myself falling further than ever...seeing as I am getting into this pairing. This was well written and I like how you showed Balthazar's angst and how he isn't always confidant. Nicely done.

Great - but sad! - fic!

This is beautifully written, and I love the glimpse into Balthazar's mind, particularly his frustration that with all his skills and experience he can't compete with a teenage girl. Awesome. A lot of fics in this fandom depict Balthazar as very confident and controlled, which is nice, but I love it when I find one that explores his insecurity and the psychological damage the extended lifespan has wrought. Thanks for this!
