How nice to read a Foyle fanfic which does not try to get Foyle and Sam together .True they are both very attractive characters played by two gorgeous actors but I think the age/generation gap is too wide to be gulfed , nor do I get any sense of an erotic charge between them in the episodes : I think sam very sensibly prefers guys her own age and Foyle's love for her stays on the right side of fatherly . In my fantasies I invent a beautiful mysterious woman , in her mid 30s , as a romantic interest for Foyle ...maybe I'll write it someday .

Seriously, I am REALLY CURIOUS to know whether Horowitz will give us a scene like this in Series 8. Seems entirely likely to me.

I thought this was lovely. I'm a bit sad that Sam and Adam get married here, but I agree that it is more realistic than a S/F ship. And, in a way, by naming her baby boy after him, it's as if Sam were having Christopher's child!

I loved the image of Foyle striding through the streets with a bouquet of flowers, just so excited to see Sam and her baby! I just wish that it was his baby, too...oh well.
