Great story! Not surprised Dean was affronted when he didn't do well in the Zombie killing quiz and can imagine him driving Sam a little mad by sulking about it! The writer of the quiz had obviously never met a zombie in his life! And loved Dean's enthusiasm for Sam's present, until he saw what it was. Thank goodness Sam had the presence to duck! :)

It is always nice to get an alert with your name attached about a new story.

I'm glad that Sam went over Dean's answers to the zombie quiz. It definitely explained why Dean was so upset with his score. I think the person who wrote the quiz would be very happy to see Dean and Sam Winchester arrive if he ever had to face a real zombie.

I like how Sam was trying to find ways for Dean to rest while healing from their hunt. Some of my favorite scenes are Dean cleaning weapons or sharpening his knife... sorry got lost there for a moment picturing Dean.

Hee, that was nicely silly! I can totally imagine Dean (well season 2 Dean anyway!) taking all manner of ridiculous online tests!

I like how you described his childlike enthusiasm for things like presents - something I thought the show had forgotten until that little grin in Frontierland!

That made a lovely change from all the angst I seem to have been reading of late!

This is wonderful, lol! I loved all of it. It's terrifically light-hearted, but wonderfully serious in places as well. I absolutely loved your description of Sam's reaction when Dean first fails the test - I could picture every detail. :D I loved, too, how well Sam knows Dean, and how disturbing he finds the "every man for himself" mentality the test had. And, the end of the fic was absolutely perfect. :D

Kay. So, I read the first two paragraphs of this, then I took zombie apocalypse quizzes for, like, hours. I got a 53%, 51% and a 70%, so...I dunno if they're that accurate. But on my most favorite quiz, Dean got a 85%, Sam got 97% and weelchair-Bobby got 87%. (Yes, I realize taking online quizzes for fictional characters is weird. Sh.) Then I read the rest of your story. :D And Dean got 53 once, but that one had a lot of questions like "If your friend is bitten" and "If there are people trapped in a car" so... I'm not counting it. Anyway, I think Dean would be pissed that everyone got a better score. Especially Bobby. Ooh I should do on for Jo and Ellen now. Bye-bye!

I can see why Dean would fail the test. Little does the quiz guy know, when you're a grade A hunter, you don't need to resort to being a world class jerk. Dean could teach the guy a thing or two. ;) And so could Sam, what a good brother. lol. Not his fault it wasn't zombies.

This is a great story - I wish they'd do this onscreen. I especially love Sam's "trying to be serious and supportive" answers to Dean's indignation.
