Ok, that was disturbing... though that *was* the intent of the story. I have to say it was nicely done, a bit short, but well executed.

Actually, I willing to bet that woman wouldn't even have recieved a wish... She would not fit the profile of someone who deserves a wish. That is just disturbing...

Well, I have to say this is an... err... original twist on the whole "wish gone awry" theme. Except for the last little bit it could even be considered a possible scenario, though extremely unlikely. Skuld fans need not worry, though, as extremes of temperature, while initially uncomfortable, are easily adjusted to by goddesses. Mini-Urd takes relaxing baths in steaming bowls of miso soup, after all. Besides, there's no way Skuld wouldn't get a wish like this nullified pronto. Wishes which inconvenience a goddess canonically persist only at the desire of the goddess.

Still, this was a well written piece of horror. Fortunately, like with any good horror story, you wake up at the end and say "Whew, I'm glad that couldn't really happen."
