Do one where Shifu and the Soothsayer get married, and Po is Shifu's best man!

Wow this is a great piece of writing! I had never noticed how Shifu's and Soothsayer's lives could have so much in common (now it seems obvious and I'm feeling dumb ;_;). Anyway, you got me here :D added to favs better late than never \o/

A real gem that I discovered before it was buried in the archives. What caught my eye was your summary (But the deceased can no longer rectify their mistakes. They can only hold on to their transgressions and all the pain that accompanies them, so that not even death itself can free their soul). Simple and bleak, yet interesting enough to catch my attention. A refined summary that gives me an idea of what the fic is about already serves as a good first impression and makes me think "Is the author's writing going to be as intrinsic or abstract as the summary?"

True enough, your writing did not disappoint. The pairing is novel but highly appropriate; after reading your fic I realised how many similarities Shifu and the Soothsayer shared. Nearly all of the linguistics are correct - punctuation, grammar, spelling - and you use ellipses and dashes to excellent effect. I love the literary flair and the way you express certain things - one example being "After all, a pain shared was a pain halved." Italics are also rarer in other fics but I tend to find them in better-written stories such as yours. I could picture the conversation they were having as a scene from the movie itself - they're all kept very well in character. Great one-shot and good work!

I'm so happy you wrote this and shared it. It's beautifully written, and I think you portrayed the Soothsayer amazingly. She does seem like a very hard character to portray, but she was certainly my favorite in the movie. I've kind of always thought, somehow, that the Soothsayer and Shifu had some things in common besides just wisdom, which is why coming across this story is such a treat. I didn't think anyone would ever write about these two characters together, but now that someone did, I think it turned out a sweet little masterpiece. :)

Oh wow...this was sooooooooooo good! And sad. I loved the way that Shifu's situation compared so much with the Soothsayer's.
