Yay! This is a great read. It had all the elements of the "rut" from the book yet was unique. I quite enjoyed it. :)

Wow. This was handled so very deliciously and true to the books. The Sadist against Lucivar? Gah, Lucivar was so lucky Jaenelle was able to intervene! A few lines stuck with me:

"The Sadist was truly pissed off by the intrusion. He leaned against the opposite wall, took one hand out of his pocket and examined his long black tinted nails. He looked like he was having a pleasant conversation on a quiet afternoon, not choking his own brother in an empty corridor."

"...Daemon shifted, blocking both Jaenelle's way out of the room and Lucivar's sight of her."

"Daemon watched him, as if he was just waiting for a reason to change his mind about letting him go."

Very well written! You kept everyone in character. I loved how you made a differentiation between Janelle and Witch in a few places in earlier chapters. I can't wait for you to write more!

I know you are going to finish this, simply because I need this in my life. If Lucivar were less stupid, he wouldn't be there at all... but he's male and Daemon's male and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Jaenelle smacks them both (or just scares them with her Witch temper). Please continue!
