Good Story, Like how you are building Alede's character. Keep it up, can't wait for chapter 4

Oh man! That was an intense chapter!

I hope Gimli shows up at some point soon, he might give Legolas a different perspective on Alede and Thranduil and himself.

This chapter was so interesting; it gave a lot of insight to the depths of Legolas's personality. We see a lot more of what his father is probably like, being judgemental and hot-tempered. Those are quirks he probably keeps well under control most of the time, but with his father so ill and everything he just found out about Alede, it just pushed him. Wonderful writing! The conflict and emotions of all concerned are beautifully portrayed, and I can easily sympathize with both Alede and Legolas.

I am semi-hysterically anticipating the arrival of the next chapter. PLEASE update soon, the suspense is killing me. And if Legolas doesn't get some sleep soon, he's going to drop, and then where will Alede be (because somebody'll have to run interference between her and Thranduil.) Anyway, this chapter was one of your best yet, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next one!

Neat. Finally astory with Radagast. I can very much imagine him staying in Middle-earth. He was always more bound to it than the others.

I probably didn't review because I never do. ;) I can't say anything to improve your writing because I'm no good at constructive reviews... so I just wanna say pleeease update soon, because this is a great story (though I'm not too fond of romances). Oh my. This is going to be good, I can tell already.

Sigh, yeah, if I were Alede I'd have kept his hair too! You write her so beautifully! She's likeable and sympathetic without being obnoxiously perfect, and that's impressive. SHe's the most three-dimensional original character I've ever read. And the one and only potential love interest for Legolas that I've ever begun to like.

And she talks to the trees just like the elves! That's a neat touch! I also love her spell horse!

Oh boy, we got to meet Radagast! I liked him in the book, and I had been hoping you'd have him in "Road to Isengard." He's another interesting character that Tolkien doesn't go into much. Is his age or illness the reason he didn't go to Mirkwood himself to try and help? I like how he teased her about Legolas. Very parental.

Ooh, the end of the chapter was tense! Don't keep us waiting long for the next part. Legolas must have sent instructions for Alede to be admitted to Mirkwood, so what're those elves up to? The suspense is killing me!

Oh boy, you're off to a heck of a start. I can forsee lots of tension and major angst coming up when Alede shows up in Mirkwood, because of Thranduil and because of Legolas. I see major plot twists coming up! I'm glad you've got Gimli in this one, since I do adore him.

So, an illness killed the queen and now Thranduil's got it. Somebody's out to get the Mirkwood royalty, it would seem. Is Legolas next? Ai!

That exchange between Gimli and Legolas was SO cute! I love it when there's good banter between those two. It's nice to remember amid all the angst people write that the Fellowship have their fun moments too.

I'm really looking forward to the next part. Friday, you say? I'm counting the days! Oh, and the next chapter of "Nudge" should be out on Monday. ;-) Way to go with LOTR story number two!

Was hoping to see the sequel soon. Waiting on chapter 2 now.

Interesting premise. Since Elves usually don't get ill, I guess it would be the case of an evil spell. Looking forward to your take on what happened to Legolas' mother.
