Strange, When I read twilight I have never thought about how Carlisle would punish the vampire teens and if they ever would do something to earn that so it feels a little strange to read this but somewhere it is a logical thing. I liked this first chapter. wonder how I'll like the rest

This story was superfantastic. Great ending! So glad that Carlisle will be the father Edward needed... forever :)

Aww :( I wish that the first time he called Carlisle "Dad" happened at a different time... He was kind of using it to manipulate him at the moment. But sweet anyhow! I'm glad all is forgiven :)

Aww, Edward! :( He shouldn't have left. He's having conflicting feelings about how he should feel about Carlisle... He should just allow himself to see him as a father! I was so worried when Carlisle fought and especially when Edward couldn't do anything about it! I wonder what Carlisle is going to think of Edward now... But I'm sure he'll understand; he always does. :)
I watched BD part 2 again tonight... I realized that that moment between Carlisle and Edward in which Edward says something like "Carlisle, I've never thanked you for this wonderful life." is super sweet!

I like exactly what you said. :) I mean, I really liked Carlisle getting advice from that George. George has lots of wisdom for Carlisle, even though he is comparatively younger than him. Like you said, Carlisle had never been a dad before, and he needs dome guidance here in the beginning. He is SO the perfect dad! Even when he loses his temper. Yes, he's doing his best... which just so happens to be THE best! I shall read another chapter tomorrow.
I'm sorry I haven't been doing too much lately, I have just been sooo busy, it's crazy. I'm kinds stuck in my story. I'm definitely doing your planning process thingy next time. :)

Carlisle is a great parent. I was reading some of the other reviews of this story and also going off of what I wrote in my review for Drunken Consequences, and agree spanking COULD be a form of abuse if handled in the way of my father (in my terms) or in the way of Carlisle's father. BUT it's not abuse if the kid challenges the parent's authority/power by disobeying their commands and the parent handles it in the correct way and tells the kid they love them afterward. Carlisle did what a parent should do and making sure the kid knows they did wrong which makes him awesome, and so is the author for understanding the difference. I may be only 12 but I know the difference too. And if someone said its abuse for a parent having the right to spank a child in THE RIGHT WAY for leaving the house and almost KILLING SOMEONE then they're messed up!

I love your story and I feel you capture Carlisle's personality perfectly. I always had a feeling that his dad wasn't the loving father type with him and him getting advice from another father is just what he would need. And I agree with you, his not perfect but he tries his best to be a better dad than his father was. I also had a feeling that Edward would behave exactly like that at the beginning because in the book he did tell Bella he had a rebellious streak during the first few years of his new life and he did resent Carlisle for trying to tell him what to do. It wasn't until after some time on his own as a typical vampire that he was more respectful of his wishes and accepted him as his father. But I like your stories a little more because it shows more with the characters as they are jsut starting out as the family we all know and love. Keep up the great job writing and have a Happy New Year.

AW! I loved it. I can't believe Carlisle lost his temper like that though, but I'm glad he and Edward got everything worked out. Great story.
