About this chapter, I remember that you decided to let Shinjiro die a couple of chapters ago (I didn't exactly remember the sentence but it's somewhat like "Aki's best friend had just died yesterday").

Uh... the formatting of this chapter seemed off at the beginning. You should probably check it. And you made a slight grammatical error that's way too common on this site. When writing dialogue pieces, sentences that end with a period will end with a comma if the speaking character performs the action of talking. Er... I'll just point out the offending sentence here:

"We're going out to the film festival! You should come." Akihiko says.

It should be:

"We're going out to the film festival! You should come," Akihiko says.

Yes it makes a difference. And that's about it.

"It's from Octopia, Shinji. So there's no octopus in it."

One has to wonder why the stand is even called 'Octopia' if octopus isn't even an ingredient. I've read some crack theories that the Weird Takoyaki is made of cats or Apathy Syndrome people, so yum?

I never really thought about why Shinji was so intent on everyone eating healthy, but you just explained why. It suddenly makes so much more sense now O:

My, another chapter up so soon. Most writers would wait a while before treating his or her readers with another thing to read. The humor in this chapter is from the fact that Ikutsuki fails to be funny. After reading his explanation, I still don't understand the joke. I expect that you were hoping that would happen.

At the beginning I thought that Shinjiro was being taught how to fold napkins, but he's really being treated out to dinner by the FeMC XD The highlight of this chapter: "It was like this was one of the unwritten rules of being a streetwise badass: you don't fall in love." Yes. Yeeeeeeees. Shinji is too badass for romance and girls (no he isn't, but I'm sure that he'd like to think that he is)!

Why am I the only one reviewing this brilliant story? This is a much needed break from all the sappy fics about Shinjiro, and the angst is tastefully written. He isn't whiny-angsty, and his problems aren't shoved in your face in a way that makes you want to hurl.

Guys, you're all missing out if you don't read this story. For real. I am not kidding. Seriously.

I really love this fanfic so far. Your diction is beautiful, and your detailed portrayal of Shinjiro's inner agony is written out so remarkably.

My favorite line would have to be the last one of the third chapter. "He knows this the same way he knows that when he finally goes to sleep she'll be the last thing he sees, a queen among arrows, drifting into darkness."

There's just something about that line that I absolutely love. I'm really looking forward to reading more of your work.

My question is to why no one else is reading these drabble pieces. They're brilliant and free of the fluff you find in all the other stories. I found each of these chapters to be engaging and entertaining, albeit with a darker humor than usual.

My only complaint is that you make the mistake of adding periods to the end of a character's dialogue. Do review your grammar rules.

"he'd rather not have it widely known that Shinjiro Aragaki, badass of Port Island Station's back alley, had nightmares, too."

Why am I laughing so much at this? I must be a terrible person D: But really, I could totally see that happening in-game.

Dang, a collection of 78 drabbles all based on Tarot Cards? That's quite the feat you're trying to accomplish. And since they're all about our (not so) friendly (when you first meet him) neighborhood badass Shinji, that makes everything so much more fun! You should make the title of each chapter the name of the card being put into effect to make things clearer though. Which card was this chappie anyway?

I got nothing to criticize you on for this first drabble. It's a darker look at Shinjiro with all his guilt about everything and it's written very well. I'm looking forward to reading more :D
