All the other lines of course- Fortunately, Zuko had a reaction ready. "What?" and "Just be sure you explain that it's the Unagi, okay?" are just to die for. And Jasmine. of course. Because Oolong would have been a pig in Dragon Ball Z.

And when the talk wasn't about witty repartee and banter, it was poignant, like when Katara said that she had stopped playing pretend. The date was both pragmatic and incredibly romantic (trust Iroh for good date ideas). And when they kissed, it was believable.

You have such a firm grasp of the story and its characters, it feels like a 'whole' fic even if it's a relatively short narrative of a single 'what if' scenario. It's viscerally satisfying, not just something for the lulz. It was funny without sacrificing credulity and sense. I'm happy I was able to read this. Thanks for the story!

Ah, this was a fun one. The whole thing was well done, the "here, here, and here" was hilarious, and the ending made me laugh and repeat it to myself outloud-which given the contents, got me some odd looks.

What I am trying to say is that I thourghly enjoyed reading this. Great work.

No, I'm not surprised that it's really good; just that you wrote a Zuko/Katara fic at all, because I thought you'd do one for every couple but them, just 'cause! So picture me grinning with surprised delight!

I'm rather curious as to what Zuko thought Sokka's drawing really was. Hope it wasn't something obscene... ;-)

The fire-flyers scene was romantic, and yes, Zuko was properly adorkable. For some reason they reminded me of the lantern-balloons used in the movie Tangled... which I understand can really work for short periods, if the paper and frame used in the construction are light enough. Were the flire-flyers inspired by something in RL?

And of course the last scene made me crack up. "I'm not getting laid tonight, am I?" "Odds are low." Hey, at least she's honest! :-D
