Albeeno 8/4/12 . chapter 1 I love how you captured his style, the rhythm of his speech, his vocabulary, phrasings and descriptions are excellently executed! However, the description of the girl was more list-like than Nabakov usually did, his had a natural flow of thought rather than a flow of the eye. Many don't realise that your eyes flit from one defining feature to the next, usually what we find most interesting or attractive. Apart from this one bit of mechanics, it's truly perfect. I love it! |
lonelightlilith 6/18/12 . chapter 1This is a near-perfect emulation of Nabokov's fluid, musical style. I am so impressed. This is my favourite book... you've written a brilliant tribute. |
Fibob 3/5/12 . chapter 1 Wow. This was really good. You're a really talented writer! |
anastasis 12/23/11 . chapter 1Oh, yes! I guess it takes a real writer to imitate another in such a perfect way. While reading, I saw and heard the same Humbert, that spoke from pages of the book - and I'm grateful for that, for I kind of missed the guy :) Thanks for posting. It would be nice if you wrote another piece one day. PS. Sorry for my English! Not my native language, so I make mistakes. |
Nightcrawlerlover 7/3/11 . chapter 1Very brilliant and awesome, as well as very inspiring! :) I like it. Keep up your super-neat, very creative and phenomenal writing! :) |
