I've been into AsaKiku mood lately and this story captivated me. It's beautiful and very well written.

I really enjoyed how you wrote mostly from Japan's POV, I don't know, it just feels like you can connect to the characters and the story better when you know exactly what they're thinking and how they're feeling.

Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful work with us. I really adore the somewhat bittersweet atmosphere in this fic. Especially the scene where Kiku caught a glimpse of Arthur's "genuine" expression at the chippy and remembers that he used to see it on a regular basis was so subtly depicted that it left me a deep impression. And I think the ending was very nicely written too, although you say you are not satisfied with it. I felt that the way you wrapped up the story was really artful. While it gave happy, positive future prospect, somehow it still retained faint melancholy, something like a residue from complicated relationship between two former Anglo-Japanese Allies. My apologies if my review is confusing... I was moved by the story but I don't quite know how to express it in English :-( I truly adore this story and respect your writing talent. Great work!
