This story and the ones before it are truly exceptional! I love them. You are a great writer.
Mystic Winter 12/2/08 . chapter 13
Nirnaeth, you truly are an ass! Good angsty chapter, though. Poor Legolas!
Mystic Winter 12/2/08 . chapter 22
Concerning my first comment about Nirnaeth, well, I think he's all right now. Good ending! Keep on writting!

Nice story. Do you know any more fics that had a nice orc or two?

-sob-...I can't believe it's over...I think that's my most favoritist (that was deliberate) fic ever...it was really inspiring and I'm so glad that you wrote it. I read all the fics before this and truly enjoyed Elu's growth and also Legolas's and everyone elses as well...I've never been quite so inspired by a fic...you left me in complete awe

You -are- sadistic.

I have been ghost reading your older stories for about a year now (don't ask why I've been 'ghost' reading - I guess I just wanted to absorb all the stories as one instead of reviewing each chapter - I've no real idea why.) But I just had to pop in and say, "Gosh!" Glorfindel appears to me to be a loose prototype of... another... well-known elf : )

[wide-eyed] What a great chapter this was, showing Boromir's encounter with a disturbed Egla Ash! "Hearts of Darkness" and "An Orc In Rivendell" are leagues ahead of your first two stories of this unfortunate Orc, in quality as well as length. Egla/Elu does have some of the properties of a Gary Stu but you wisely temper this with his latent Orkishness, still lurking and occasionally rising to the surface. His friendship with Legolas is well-portrayed: a touching and powerful bulwark for the story. "An Orc In Rivendell" is also nicely laced with humor, particularly in the Mirkwood/Rivendell, Thranduil/Elrond tensions. I am highly enjoying this all around.

Wow. Words cannot describe this story's greatness.

If you suck at summaries, then you suck at stories.

Great story, TreeHugger! Egla... er... Elu is really growing on me. I love seeing Elrond relaxed and in good humor, and Boromir as a nice guy without the temptation of the ring before him. And Faramir's psychic powers rock (almost as much as Arwen's). Speaking of whom, I'd have liked to see more of her and the twins after they intervened on Elu's behalf toward the beginning, but, hey, twas fun to read anyway. Rock on!
kingmaker 7/3/03 . chapter 17
Darn! I was hoping that Elu's appearance at the Council would explain Figwit (if not the people who obsess over him).
kingmaker 7/3/03 . chapter 5
I like how the Egla Ash storyline is developing, though I, unlike many, liked giving Arwen the rescue job, and the switch from the movie version of the Weathertop attack (which rocked) to the book version of the flight to the ford jars the continuity of the tale.
