I loved the brothers finally seeing who the other is. Very sweet. The part about running towards bullets was great, I could see John not caring about one measly guy after taking out wraith.

I was so excited to see an alert that you had published another story! And even more excited to see it focused on John and Dave. I love stories in which Dave gets to see that there's more to John than what he thinks. You did a great job! I just wish it had been longer. Personally I would love to see a sequal, in which Dave could find out even more about his brother and maybe even have an unexpected meeting of Dave and family and the team. But that's just me!

As with all your stories this one was wonderful. I look forward to reading more of your stories as you hopefully find time to write. Good job and keep up the good work!

I loved this story and seeing John with his brother David was wonderful! I thought you did a great job showing them coming together as family and the awkwardness that would have been present at the beginning. Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed this story. It went in a totally different direction than I thought it would, but still loved it. (As a USCG brat, my first thought when I hear/read "orange" is the Coast Guard... but obnoxious Hawaiian shirts work too!) I really like how Dave finally *sees* what it is that John does on a daily basis (or, at least the mild version on it!) It is really hard to comprehend what people go through in their lives until you have walked side-by-side with them through the turmoils. Until then, you can't have any real clue as to what they go through.

Kudos on the great story, that feels very real. I can totally imagine this story being cannon.

LOL Poor John, having to wear that awful shirt, and then getting shot! Very nice family fic. All of our families definitely have their oddities, but that just makes them more special. Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed it. :)

There's not much one can do with the color orange in a dark series like SG-A, but you pulled it off without a hitch. You even got the agnst, whump, humor, and drama in there. Thanks Pro. Happy 4th to you and your family!

Ok, I chuckled and laughed my way through this story. It's nice to know there is family waiting for you. And, I'm glad that John now has family back on Earth. Good job.

This is awesome in so many ways. I'm sorry John had to get shot, but I am happy at the way it opened up his brother's eyes and the avenues of communication and reconciliation between them.

Also, the ending was funny too. I kinda wish you'd post a followup or something showing John's new reading material of choice. Romance novels. I think it would be hilarious if John was always trying to sneak away to read a romance novel without getting caught or replacing romance covers with something else so it looks like he's reading something more manly or at least boring. lol And it would be amusing if he started comparing real life to romance novels while on missions or tried to apply what he thought he'd learned from romance novels to real life. Or, here you go, what if John started writing romance novels himself? I think the opportunities for humor here are endless. I'm amused just imagining it all.
