PattyB 7/9/11 . chapter 1Excellent. It's really nice to see how David grew during the time he was on Don's
team. He grew from a helper to a leader. Don had given him the reins many times to act
on his own and when David felt he was ready, he asked Don to approve the papers which lead
to his promotion.
What was it Bradford told Don in One Hour. Something to the effect that 'every time one
of them shines, it shines on you'.
It's good to see that David is capable of real leadership, with all its ups and downs.
Now, my dear, I'm lighting a very hot fire under you so that you'll get back to work on
those two long stories. Get hopping! |
Sharon 7/6/11 . chapter 1Beautifully written! David's caring heart won't let him not take responsibility when something goes wrong on his watch even if there was nothing he could do to prevent it. Thank you for sharing this with us! |
Iawen Londea 7/6/11 . chapter 1This is wonderful! Poignant and powerful. :) |
nessy22 7/6/11 . chapter 1 Always I read your name, I have to read it imediately. I know it'll be good. This one is qiet short but you bring it just to the point. I think it's very touching. David had learned from Don and found also his own way.
Is it true, you will write other longer stories? How exciting! |
notsing 7/6/11 . chapter 1 Very well written (no surprise), and very haunting. Thank-you. |
Ms.GrahamCracker 7/6/11 . chapter 1Oh, I wish they would have addressed this on the show. David would definitely feel responsible for Don's stabbing - maybe more so than Charlie - because he was in charge. He was the boss. I love the way you had Don talk to him, telling him it doesn't get any easier and how lucky he was this time.
There are far too few good David stories. I liked this one - how you showed David in his new position, using what he learned working with Don. We all know he will be a good leader.
Thank you for this story. Glad to hear you have two longer ones in the wings. |
