keldjinfae 7/19/11 . chapter 1This was... beautiful. And now I'm going to have to completely scrap the first chapter of my story. Shit. But in a fabulous way, because Hawke and Carver are perfect in this, rivals but still siblings. I have /so/ much love for Carver, and most people seem to regard him as an asshat. Sadness. This was the perfect backstory to Maps. |
naomis8329 7/9/11 . chapter 1What a wonderful story. I loved it. The background into Wil and Carver's relationship was epic. Typical of most syblings really but even more tight due to the circumstances they were in.
Thanks for this hun.
Take care

ZoEva 7/6/11 . chapter 1This made me cry because I know what happens to Carver and he was such a -brother- (an ass, a rival) that it hurts. It really does.
Seeing Wil meet Duncan made me giddy. Seeing Wil meet your Warden made me ridiculously giddy. I couldn't help but wish she managed to ninja-bang Alistair but, y'know, I can't be greedy.
Lovely, wonderful story! |
beckaliz 7/6/11 . chapter 1This is adorable! It shows how perfectly cute Carver is, and how, even though he's Hawke's "rival", he still obviously cares for his big sibling in all the ways it counts. I enjoyed this. |
millahnna 7/6/11 . chapter 1Wil met the Warden. And if I remember right, the Warden is Brand. You kind of just popped my brain a little bit. I am imagining a potentially very awkward conversation between Anders and Wil over in Maps; not because of anything Wil did in the interaction so much as 1) EVERY conversation Wil and Anders have is a little awkward and 2) I imagine it will make Anders' head pop a bit just to know the two women were ever in the same space so directly. I wonder if Wil will ever figure out that she spoke to the Hero of Ferelden.
I'm stoked you did this. The hints you've given about Carver and the very nature of Wil's personality made me really want to see their interactions a bit more. I like how there's a sort of implication that for all of their rivalry, they are probably closer to each other than Bethany is to her twin.
Also, it's always neat to see same old Ostagar from a different viewpoint. Poor Carver; waiting for the battle to start and he still has green eyeshadow on doesn't he?
Apropos of nothing, my Rogue Hawke is very similar in personality to your Wil and I decided that she and Daveth totally got it on. |
