ObsydianDreamer 7/19/11 . chapter 3
Finally! Someone else realised that a huge planet coming towards earth would have a large affect! Also, could you imagine the size of the waves that cybertron would cause?
femme4jack 7/18/11 . chapter 5
Oh yay! You did it, and it works beautifully. It is very true to your Mikaela character (who in my head IS Mikaela, no matter what is done with her in later films). And you picked up on something that troubled me about Sam, as well. While I can understand Sam developing the way he did, it is sad, and he is diminished by it. Their differences in upbringing can explain a lot, but it feels like Sam should be more resilient than this. And if I were Mik, I think I'd eventually have to leave, too, and it would hurt like the pit.

I'm so glad our conversation inspired the end. To give credit where it is do, Sakon76 first mentioned to me the idea that had Mikaela stayed, she obviously would have been restoring Dylan's cars, not "organizing the collection". Yay for fanfiction writers sharing ideas and fixing things!

It is so wonderful to have you writing Mikaela again. I just can't tell you how squeeful that makes me. I've rec-ed Bridges more than any other story in this fandom, and so many others have mentioned it being either the first TF fanfic they ever read (creating a rather high bar by which to compare others), or how much it influenced their love of her character.

Aside from the gorgeous metal (I will never fault Bay for creating gorgeous, realistic giant metal aliens), she is the best thing to come out of the movies, IMHO.

You definitely succeeded in what you set out to do, I'll say that. She certainly was a much-missed character, that's for sure. Honestly, I actually did see Sam becoming a bit arrogant seeming about some things in the comics based off the movie. The Autobots treated him like he was special, and he let it go to his head. No doubt about it, Bay could have handled things a lot better for the characters than he did. This little one-piece was much enjoyed.

Oh I love you so much for this. Starscream transforms into an F22, did they really think eyes mean that much to him? 3

DotM was way better than RotF tho'
femme4jack 7/13/11 . chapter 4
Oh, really loving this chapter. For one thing, panentheism definitely describes my own cosmological outlook. I remember when I discovered the term in college and felt...well...liberated puts it mildly.

I deeply appreciate your manner of raising questions about the nature of the "old religion" on Cybertron, and the danger of Sentinel's infatuation with it in terms of his own deification (is that the right way to use that word?)

Yes, deicide is definitely called on here, and I like this AU in which Prime makes that call earlier rather than later. Love the part in which Prime tells Ironhide to watch him.

The phrase which really sticks out for me is this one: For himself, he endured and kept his faith on the trust that if god were, then god was in all beings, and would survive the death of one twisted incarnation.

Wow, this is totally my headcanon on Prime's cosmological view. Can I get an Amen for that?

while I like the writing style of this, and how its been written...I think maybe you're trying to destroy and pick apart the Movie verse flims- correct me if I'm wrong.

So, as much as I like this, which is what compelled me to review and express that, alot of how much I like these little short ficlets is diminished by the comments at the end. Just something I feel.

So, nice writing. But I'm kinda put off by the buckets of hate flying from everywhere for the Movieverse. It is after all, based on a kids cartoon from the 80s, and well it's a kids thing. As much as I love it
Pagen Godess 7/12/11 . chapter 4
i think you could have made ths chapter you author's note only and it would have still rocked.
Sil 7/12/11 . chapter 4
I'm definitely liking this series a lot! :D
Starfire201 7/12/11 . chapter 4
Thought-provoking, this one. I was curious enough about this chapter's title that I went and looked it up. I'd say you captured the essence well.
Bluebird Soaring 7/12/11 . chapter 3
So much for Bay science on this one )

I do think they captured Sentinel's madness well. He went from a leader of their people to betrayer, probably of some of the bots who had worked with him and cared about him the most - Optimus and Ironhide (and the whole race)
Sakon76 7/11/11 . chapter 3
YES. This. Exactly!

It's so sad that G1's handling of Cybertron coming into Earth's local area has massively better physics of the phenomenon than a major Hollywood movie with a huge budget done 25 years later! (Particularly since that part of the plot was directly lifted from G1...)

Also, Sentinel was supposed to be this genius who invented the pillars and such and /didn't/ take this effect on both planets into account? I think you're right and he was either insane, or genocidal on a scale neither Megatron nor Optimus ever dreamed of.
Starfire201 7/11/11 . chapter 1
Creepy, definitely creepy. Given that they're called "pretenders", though, makes a lot of sense.

I've actually heard people say the new actress pretty much sucked, so you're definitely not alone in that opinion.
Starfire201 7/11/11 . chapter 2
Thank you for this drabble, as I heard about how Starscream died and what happened just prior, and the last time I checked, these mechs had sensors and scanners inside them. How else could they "see" when transformed into their vehicle mode? Just shooting into their eyes would not blind them by any stretch. They would still be able to move, although with a certain amount of difficulty, as you demonstrated. It was a pathetic way to kill him off, in my opinion. For as you said, they aren't bound by the same things we are.

Have account under this name if you wish to respond.
femme4jack 7/11/11 . chapter 3
And this is why I'm not going with those who claim the Autobots committed genocide by stopping whatever process was doing this. EVERYONE on Cybertron and Earth would die if Sentinel had gone through with it. If what they did destroyed Cybertron (I'm glad in the book it didn't), what Sentinel had planned would destroy both worlds.

At least in my head, we are seeing Cybertron through the bridge, but it isn't yet physically there, its mass isn't present, which is why there were none of these logical effects. Not that I give Bay credit for having thought that through. Maybe it is some sort of stable wormhole through which they could transport human slaves via ship. *shrugs helplessly*

But yeah, if its mass had been there, we are talking massive Extinction Level Event for Autobots and humans alike (along with every other living thing on either planet). Silly scientists. Just because you *can* do something doesn't mean it *should* be done ;)
Bluebird Soaring 7/9/11 . chapter 2
I'm thrilled to see you adding your thoughts about this Bayverse of TF - I'm hoping you will address a chapter to Ironhide in some form.

Starscream being taken down by his eyes...ya, not so much *snerk!
