This was well-done and powerful. I liked your use of multiple adjectives in a single sentence-it gave strong motion and emphasis and you didn't over-use it.

I also liked the crossover of adjectives one would use for a pillow and ones that would be for a human body (frayed, satiny, etc.).

I certainly felt Mycroft's horror and despair at Gregory being dead, and this isn't even my fandom, so that was well-done.

Also liked the lighter humor at the end, bringing the reader up to a happier place after the scary stuff.

Very enjoyable to read. Hope to see more :-)
