And WOW I felt sorry for Dean seeing him die like that. :D But in a happy way.

That is amazingly chilling and creepy and wonderful. Sam is just so /off/. He's been on his own and unable to die or rest in peace long enough that he's lost just enough of his sanity; where he can still function but he's not gonna be the same again. And I love it because I love when Lucifer manages to damage Sam like this, because it's probably only a matter of time before Sam is just too tired and saying yes makes the most sense.

Great story. Shame the writers didnt explore the whole'Sam cant die' thing more or his feelings much at all really in season 5. This would have been way better than the boring Dean 'woe is me' fest we actually got.

One of the things I love about Sam is that he never gives up. It would have been so easy for him to roll over and die in season 5 or even go down the path you laid out in your story but he didn't. Sam has the unfailing ability to just take whats thrown at him, pick himself up, dust himself off and get on with the job. Real heroes make mistakes and then try their very hardest to fix those mistakes.

This was great! I loved that time frame when Dean shut Sam out and Sam had too much to deal with. You wrote Sam's anguish wonderfully. Thanks!

Yeah, Sam had died and been brought back before, why not while Lucifer is working on him to get him say yes. This was way beyond supernatural though, I imagine it would have felt like a bleak and hellish existence.

It's weird that Dean thinks that Sam is fragile, when Sam can not ever stay dead.

That was cool! I would have liked to have seen that on the show! The thousand deaths of Sam!

Oh, Sam. Poor, broken Sam. This was certainly a different twist to Lucifer's revelation to the poor guy. Having nothing to loose certainly made him reckless. And using the whole can't-die-thing to his advantage is certainly part of Sam's character. I imagine Dean freaked when he got a front row seat to Sam's newfound invincibleness.
