Honestly, I don't normally go for Castle AUs. But I kind of clicked on this one by accident and boy howdy, I'm SO GLAD that I did! It's truly amazing, and I'm only 16 chapters in! I normally wouldn't review until I had reached the end, but I'm caving anyway.

I think the main reason that this story has really hit it for me is because I totally get the relationship between Kate and Alexis. I am a teacher (albeit, still training) and I completely understand building strong attachments with young children who aren't your own. You can't help but love them, they're practically yours, but at the end of the day, they go home with someone else and when they leave (at least as a teacher, I hope this won't happen in the story!) you sort of feel a bit of your heart go with them. Every single second of this story I have watched Kate and Alexis grow close and I've been thinking, 'That's EXACTLY how it feels!'. It's something I can relate to and that is why I love this story.

On that note, being around children this age all the time, I do think that sometimes Alexis sounds a bit older than she actually is, but I suppose you can justify that as she's rather mature and has always been above average for her age. But Alexis has a wonderful child-like voice still, so when she uses big words, it almost fits who she is. That was just one thing I noticed.

I think I'll leave my comments about Castle and Kate until the end. I'm not even halfway through this story and I have no idea where the heck you're going to take it (honestly, I'm hoping for a bit of danger). I just want to say thank you and that I'll be reading this story non-stop until I finish it. :D

YOU HAVE GOT TO WRITE A SEQUEL! Since it's Stormfall book launch party it's gonna be where Kate's gonna arrest him! SEQUEL!

Hi. I started reading these chapters yesterday as I learned about it as part of a comment on the last scene of the Castle finale. You are good! Like it. It's fun to read, like your turns and twist in the original story. I'm so glad I found it. Do you write like this only or you published any other work that I can find? Thank you! I loved this chapter because no one ever told Meredith how selfish and vain she was and whar a bad mother she was.

I read this last summer and it was one of the first stories i read on this site and oh how I loved it! It gave me precious moments, days where this story was my world as it happens when I find a great, great book. Those are special moments in my life, such joy, such sweet times knowing it's all good and fun and happy that is on the other side of each chapter (even when the story is not all fluff), like looking forward to ice cream or a delicious dessert. Thank you so much for that.

Yes, I am late to the party, but this whole story was absolutely stunning. I found myself falling head over heels in love with these characters. The growth and evolution of Kate's relationship with Rick and Alexis was simply wonderful, I mean wow. I am so glad I stumbled upon this story. Thank you so much for writing it. Also, the epilogue was a fantastic way to wrap up the story...ughhh so very good.
