OhTex 1/22/12 . chapter 1
Aislinn is my favourite Six ever. FACT.

This is, as ever, glorious. See, this is what happens when I'm craving a 'Wolves' update: I read through the one shots already written and review the ones I haven't yet!

And I love them all.

Almost forgot! If you don't mind I'll beta the first chunk and get back to you on the rest 'cause it's 2:43 am. K.

Good description, I like Jun cleaning his gun 'cause he needs to keep his hands busy. You get the sense that the team's been 'a team' for a while; Carter trusts Kat enough to not ask what she's up to until after the meeting's over, they all seem to know what everyone else is thinking.

"Maybe his door was regularly attacked". Lol. I like Aislinn, all she wants to do is be allowed to go kill things. The whole orange bit is gold. Er. You know what I mean.

I do like the Keith section but it's the one part where the pov switching gets a little distracting. Might be a necessary evil because it's a good section overall.

"It's a fine day" is a little stiff for a casual-ish conversation-ish. Something also feels a bit cheesy about the last paragraph in that section but I can't figure out what.

Emile is fantastic. The totally-creepy revelation that Aislinn is talking to her ghosts a la places the dead go does not faze him at all. Stern is my new favorite character because he truly understands the problems with orange.

"The conversation with Stern had been tense...dead daughter." -Unnecessary, I think. Also as much as I love the shout-whispering phrase, some of the npc dialog seemed a bit too...trying really hard to sound military. Aislinn's throwing aliens at each other and it's no thing.

Was there supposed to be a line break between 'the world exploded in green' and 'colonel even'? The pov changes. "Thom was not her problem" is brutal and lovely.

You'll laugh, but I think your writing here is best when the characters are gathered around talking to/at/about each other. Stern and 6, Kat and crew, etc. The action is descriptive but the story feels the harshest (a good thing) when Aislinn is discussing orange paint with someone who in retrospect might be dead.

I lied there's the whole thing GOOD NIGHT
