nice start. i hope you're not planning on leaving it there. this could be really good. right now i like the omnipresence of nick's character. his name wasn't mentioned and we haven't heard him speak yet but you can just feel his presence, the nick cloud looming over everything. especially in that first chapter. all we got was a groan and a motion of his hand but really that was all we needed to set the scene. so as i say keep it going!
