This is so sad and yet good. I'm always fascinated by Helga and the influence her (neglectful) family has obviously had on her.

Awww, that's sad! I always knew that Helga was even watching from a distance at one year old, so I mentally correct everything that says Helga has been in love with him since she was three, she loved him when she first saw him on the slide. This is really good and I hope you come up with a chapter two :)
