It would have been great if that had been the actual ending because it felt like they were trying for an easy way out by leaving the ending so unfinished in the series.(not the first nor the last time I bet) so thanks a bunch for that :)

Loved the "spark", laughed at the spot-on humor, so glad that she let Zane be there for her. This was pure delight to read, and the perfect balm at the end of a stressful work day. I didn't have time to review the day you posted it, but since I liked it even more when I re-read it today... DOUBLE thanks for crafting and sharing "Something". :-)

This is perfect. Especially the end. And the beginning. And the rest of it too. Love it.

Personal note: the back and forth at the end really reminds me of some of the banter my husband and I do, though not quite those words ;). Maybe that's why I liked this so much. It's very real.

Loved this, you did a great job of capturing Jo's prespective. The line about Jo being able to stop him if she had really wanted to was perfect. When I watched the episode I wasn't sure when Zane grabbed her arm whether she would kiss him or kill him.

Aw, awesome! I thought about maybe writing something that picked up where they let off but I haven't had time or energy. Love the "smoked out" pun, love the overachiever line, and adore the ending.

Good gods YES! Love how you incorporated Jo's frustration and weariness in that moment. She has been fighting an uphill battle for 6 months the stress has got to be getting to her. And you're right she could totally take him down if she wanted to.

I enjoyed Zane's tone, it seemed playful like he was testing her reaction.

It's a lovely moment captured between the two before, I'm sure the reality of him burning down her house sets in.
