This was a wonderful story, the last two chapters were the hardest to read and i also wept in the last chaptr. i wish Gimli had not died! i wish they could have both ived on together in the hevens of Valinor! it was so painfull to read that he died just before they arived! please change ending so he lives please!

I know it's a while ago that you wrote this, but maybe you are still around and like to know that people are still reading your stories.

I don't know how to put it into words, but you really wrote one of the most moving (without being tritely sentimental) things I've ever read. The mood was exactly like in the books.

The ending made me cry, but I still love it, knowing that a happy ending just wouldn't have done.

Thanks for writing this. I'm in a right mood to get my time-worn copy of 'Lord of the Rings' and then print out your story to glue each chapter where Tolkien forgot to write it. *smile*

I read somewhere that this story was one of the best fanfics detailing Legolas and Gimli. I was skeptical at first - as I usually am when someone claims a story is the best thing in the world. The review I read also said I would cry. I did. This is an amazing story. I plan to read it over and over. I love the way you got the Tolkien feel to the writing with your choice of words. I'll never look at ravens the same way. The last scene is just so powerful. A quote from a song seemed rather appropriate for this story. "Is forever enough? 'Cause I'm never, never giving you up..." Great writing job.

You should have your friends convince you to write slash more often. The result is delicious.

As always your writing astounds me. I wonder if I should bother to review, seeing as every time it is nothing but fangirlish gushing. I suppose, however, that the occasional, simple, compliment and congratulations can be nice.

I've read a lot of L/G fanfiction but this is unlike anything I've ever seen. Lyrical, insightful, and deeply moving.

How do you do it? After reading the beginning of your other Legolas/Gimli fic I decided to see if I could handle a whole one. To my utter amazement (although with your skill I should have expected it) I'm in love with it. It's so sad though, it's nice to see someone really touch of the mortality issue in slash involving Legolas (or any Elves) and mortals. So many people write it off so simply, with just a few lines, but you actually embraced it and made it an incredibly sad part of the story. Thank you for such a wonderful story. It's going on my faves.
