Great take on this episode too! Like how you get into the character minds. Would love to read a missing scenes from Fallen Angel, Kingdom Come and Desparate Monday! You have a great grasp of the characters.

Great story! Love how you show the awareness of how Cait and String slowly mean to each other.

One thing that, to me, didn't seem to have cleared up is Cait not explaining, either via her pov or verbalizing it to String, is her hatred of Angelica. Jealousy? Something else?

I hope you write more Cait/String stories.

You are doing a great job with these. I wish there was a little more from Cait's POV; but,I'll take what I can get. I really like the way Hawke is sort of unconsciously falling in love with her. I think he'd have to do it that way or else he'd try to push her far away. I also buy into the idea that he'd do so to protect himself as much as her.

Superb. Really fleshes out a somewhat troubling episode. Cait is a real hero in the episode and Hawke a victim. It balances their motivations beautifully.
