Reviews for: Somebody's Angel
Just-Jayme 7/14/03 . chapter 1
This was excellent! I always wanted the last part of the poem and this was great, more than adequate. Good job.

Wow, I love this. "Broken earthbound mortal." How perfect to think of Logan gazing up above the skyline as Max sits on the Needle remembering his words. It also reminds me of their dance. Thanks.

So this is one the few reviews you'll ever see from me for a poem, because I don't think myself capable of understanding most poems, much less interpreting them . . . but for catherder, I'll try. Okay, so while I was reading this, I went back to the scene in SiL and thought of Max's face as she read, and the wonder in her voice when she asked him if it was about her. It works perfectly, for me - I mean, I can see her reading what you've written her and having that reaction. The *one* line that that might not apply to is "Our lips meet." Gosh, if he wrote that about her and she read it...well, I just think (1) he probably would have never shown it to her and (2) wouldn't one of them had said something about it?

I am very glad you gave us the rest of the poem. One of those DA mysteries we're left to wonder about. It is really beautiful. And while I'm here, more SiS please! )

Great finish!

Really like the sense of movement and the pace to this poem. Can imagine Logan writing it - he's a romantic at heart whether he likes it or not.

I can't say I'm a great reviewer of poetry, but that piece was beautiful! Very much like something I could picture Logan writing.

I love your imagery, Logan's description of himself as a broken earthbound mortal and the angel whose touch allows him to soar. Just beautiful.

This is really lovely, catherder. More please. "Dark forever eyes again." Love that image.
