This gave me a good laugh. Yes kitten's seem to think bare feet mean pouncing time don't they or mine does at least and when you're walking past and using you as a climbing post.

Nothin' fancy here-just a slice of life. Stuff we all experience...no great passions, fears, traumas... But I really like what you've written. Remembering all the drama these people have gone thru, it's nice to just sit back with some lemonaide-or maybe a glass of some unexceptional but OK wine- and just spend some time with this family. 'Course, I like cats, too. A lot. In fact, here comes the guy who used to be a feral cat in our front yard, scaring all the other cats until we trapped him and he got "tutored" by the vet. That was maybe 15 yrs. ago, and he's long since retired from the security gig. Still yowls with a smokers croak and stomps around like big guys do... I like knowing Cloud's cat came back. And that Cloud was glad to see him-having come to an agreement, so to speak... thx, Ardwynna M. mc

I can sympathise a lot with Cloud. One of my cats when he was just a kitten also used to think that bare feet means pouncing bag. All teeth and claws out exuberantly. And the vet! It was so difficult bringing them to a vet, especially when they're getting neuterised since they fight each other a lot, scent marked, etc.

It's also neat that you put some knowledge into the story (the XXY chromosomes).

I rather liked this. I've had a cat like that and it is a strange thing sometimes when one chooses you instead of the reverse.
