An interesting way of incorporating the actual episodes. Her stunted little exchange with Wordy was kind of sad. Two people suffering but neither of them really being able to say what's going on. The ending too. A kind of bitter sweet. She's got a good solid family now but they're still affected by the past. It's poignant.

The detail about the beautiful colors of the scarves (that cover up such terrible ugliness underneath) was really quite powerful. I love the uncomfortableness of the interaction between Wordy and Keira... :) and I really like the siblings' shared pain at the end of this. I'd sort of not thought about the fact that Brian would not just know all the family secrets, but know them, and be just as affected by the abuse.

Great story, I like the plot line.

I feel really bad for Will after the chewing out Ed lavished upon his poor ass. I hope that they'll come to terms by the end of your fic. I think he's being kind of a jerk to the rookie right now. I know that's his job and all - to break them in and make sure they're one hundred percent committed. But still. Doesn't make me like him much.

I'm wondering how much longer Keira can keep her abusive stepfather in the closet. We can already see the threads begin to unravel. Definitely a lot of anticipation.

Oh man, I thought she was FINALLY busted, but no. You're keeping her walls up a while longer. And I think you did it really well, I love how she perfectly reversed Eddie's line about being defensive and went onto the perfectly legitimate offensive. (Especially since last night Will went all macho on her) So much drama, so many lines that I love. It's awesome, and keeps me on the edge of my seat.

This chapter... well, thanks. this chapter got me so excited about this story that now I have to go and read the whole thing over again. I hope you're pleased with yourself ;) Keep it up!

I love the part about the texts Spike and Keira sneak to eachother, and how he manages to say almost nothing when Will asks if Keira is seeing anyone. Tsk-tsk Spike! lol

I love that Will so easily slips back into the role he used to extract Keira from unwelcome attentions. I completely see where Keira is coming from in her response though, the 'injured pride' thing is perfect, and his realization that the rest of the team knows Keira can take care of herself... but I find it tragic that he's getting absolutely smacked down from all sides for just trying to help out. /kicked puppy time, but man, he should have stopped to think! but old habits screwed him... woops.

Another great chapter, I really like the cat and mouse game between Keira and Will. She really is giving him a hard time, poor chap, whatever he does, he can only do it wrong ;) Was nice to see the team hanging out together at the bar and the prank scene was fun, too. Looking forward to your next update :)

I really am enjoying how you do description, and Keira's thoughts. I'm just so intrigued by her, her backstory, her stand-offishness, it's really good. :D

Keira seems relatable and intriguing, I'm absolutely in love with Spike (he's such an awesome friend-with-benefits) and a little bit with Will. Already.
