Hi Akira! _ I haven't played much of the game yet, so I know very little about it, but I do like this story. Very disturbing... very vivid.

Short but sweet. I also agree on the fact that Sydney is a good guy, he is hardly a villian, just having a bit of fun. Grr, there should be more Vagrant Story fanfics out there.

This is a nice fic, but I don't think Sydney really blamed his father. The scene of him rushing to hug Joshua and both of them smiling at each other shows that they had a happy relationship. I think Sydney would do anything for his father. Including sell his soul to the dark beasts to destroy the damned city of Lea Monde. Why else would Ashley appear to the Duke as Sydney? It was a dark chore that his father asked him to take on, but he alone didn't have the power. Ashley couldn't bear to let the Duke think his son had failed him, hence he took on Sydney's form to show the Duke that the city had been destroyed. The key had been passed. Sydney's damned life was over.
