Like your story and will wait for your safe return.

Come on. Please update this.

I know you only have few reviews, but that's because to many folk are happy to read simplistic Mary Sues and refuse to read good stuff if it makes them think.

Very nice chapter. I winced for Snape, having his nose being messed with while it was all smashed up. Painkilling potion or no, just...ouch.

The interaction between Severus and Marian was interesting, like they know each other well (the bickering, and Snape knowing just how to get her to concede to his ideas), but at the same time are very distant with each other. Maybe it's a family thing. In any case, I hope to read more of this soon. I want to see some sluething!Snape. ;)

Lovely chapter. It was nice to see some interaction between Snape and Marian and all the details in the healing scene were very interesting. I'm really enjoying this story, I hope you update soon! Oh and thanks for letting me know you updated.
Cobweb1 5/30/02 . chapter 6
Aw. Poor Severus getting all locked up. As if he didn't have enough inconveniences in his life to deal with, they had to go and wrongy incarcerate him. He's very IC as well-kudos to you for that. He's still a sarcastic git, and the layers of concern and other feelings you've woven into that are believable and nicely done.

I'm really enjoying this story. The plotline is very original, and Marian seems a well-developed, interesting character. Lord Carlyle-Fairleighweather-I like the name. It fits well with the wizarding mouthfuls that pop up in the books. I'm looking forward to the reading the rest of this; it's all set up for a juicy mystery, which I love. I hope you post the next chapter soon.

Why do I always get to end of your story needing more to find I have to wait for you to update!

This is excellent and very original.

I like Marion, she looks as if she's going to be a strong woman.

I hope you update soon.

Good chapter! So Snape taught Langtry at Hogwarts - that explains her attitude towards him. The little insight into how Snape's dual role affects his daily life was nice. I'm looking forward to reading more!

Oooh. Ooh. Good story. Colour me semi-shocked what with the amount of crap predominant on , but your story isn't amongst it (although from your review you proved yourself literate and perceptive, so I'm not *so* surprised). Very interesting concepts unfolded in this, especially the unicorn preserve, and you have an OC who isn't trite, dull, Mary-Sueish, super-powerful, or any combination of the aforementioned.

You don't mischaracterise or decharacterise Snape, and I'm finding myself increasingly interested in this little work. More'd be nice. ;)

It's most refreshing to find a story that thus far has such an interesting and original plotline. I like the idea of the unicorn reserve, and the way the wizarding world is perceived in this. It's more...I guess 'modern' would be the word, than most (especially the Aurors - more like normal police as opposed to special agents). And I definitely like the idea of an illegal potions ring. This has all the makings of a good noir story (so long as Snape doesn't go all Dick Tracey with a yellow trenchcoat - or would he prefer a cloak? ;) I eagerly look forward to the next part.
Elspeth1 5/3/02 . chapter 5
I saw the URL for this stiry on the Snapefans list and thought I'd come take a look. I'm glad I did; it's really entertaining, funny, but in an understated way (not a slapstick Fred & George way). Severus and Marian's reactions to the will were great. Poor Good Samaritan Severus, locked up in jail with a broken nose (and it was already unfortunate enough without being crooked). He should demand compensation.

I love the solicitor's name, so very English sounding, as well as Lord Carlyle-Fairleighweather (he sounds like a horrible, controlling old man who is probably snickering gleefully from the afterlife at his heirs' discomfiture). Marian's name wouln't be a play on "Maid Marian" by any chance, would it?
