this is a really nice story...i like how the main character does not instantly become friennds with harry and actually isn't in the same year as harry...i also like all the promuggle parts...

This is good. I'm glad Jimmy and his parents got to spend some time in London to see the sights. The war museum was a good choice. Jimmy got reminded of how horrible war was but Ike's letter to the troops gave him a boost. Ike was elected when I was 4. He was a very popular president after World War II. I'm glad Jimmy got a positive view of fighting for what is right. That was good. I'm glad that Jimmy got a great welcome home from his closest friends. Their support is very good. I'm glad they are willing to help Jimmy "educate" the disbelievers. I look forward to the other stories you listed. Thanks for writing a great story. pms

Wow! Strong ending to a great story. I really enjoyed the whole thing - it was a lot of fun from beginning to end. You got the characterizations of everyone exactly - standing out among them are Dumbledore and the Weasley twins. I like your Ginny - you capture her fire exteremely well - and your characterizations of Malfoy and Snape are wonderfully loathable.

Before reading this, I never considered the similarities between Quidditch and hockey, but I now can't *not* see it.

I'm glad to see there's more of Jimmy's tale out there. Having barrelled through forty-four chapters of this today, I'll take a little break before tackling more!

An utterly appropriate ending to the game. I liked every aspect of it. I also hope Malfoy gets some props for forging a team that had tons of skill and heart. He may be King of the Douchenozzles, but forging a team like that takes some doing.

How Lucius Malfoy never ended up decapitated with his skin flensed from his body in some bog in Yorkshire, I'll never know. This was a wonderful chapter. Absolutely lovely!

I'm about halfway through this, and I just want to pause to say how well done it is. Jimmy is one of the most engaging OCs I've read about in Harry Potter fanfiction, and I'm really enjoying his story. You draw us into his world and his thoughts really well. I'm very much enjoying this story.

I'm really hoping we see a bench-clearing brawl when the two teams play. I can see this going like '87 World Juniors, there's that much bad blodd between these two.

Wow! Great chapter. I like that Ginny seems to be a natural-born hockey player, and I like how you showed how the game could take off among magicals due to its similarity to Quidditch. But you didn't say who won! I hope that it wasn't the Leafs, or the universe is dangerously off-kilter. (And I say that as someone who grew up in Ontario.)

Malfoy is just congenitally unable to not be a twit.

I really liked the scene with Professor Burbage. Fanfiction needs more of her - she's one of my favourite of the very minor characters in the HP Universe.

I just read this whole story over the course of about five days, and I loved it. I'm going to find the other Jimmy O'Bannon stories and read those. And while I'm at it, I think I might order Dark Wings off Amazon.
