I just started watching this show and it had me hooked. What an intriguing character and he portrays him so well. I immediately came on here and was surprised only one story was up! But I've enjoyed your first chapter immensely :) will read on!

Sweet. Reminds me of my sister, who has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Symptoms aren't exactly the same, but she definitely had a limited, lonely childhood.

Love the show, the way people are always somehow connected. Love how we don't know whether the man is God, the Devil, an alien, some weird gov't program, etc. Though the Doris in your story seems 1st season Doris and not 2nd season Doris, where she gets some hard edges and gets a little threatening. Hmmm.

Anyway, I enjoyed this. I enjoy the show and suddenly decided to see if there were any fics. You are the first! :P
