i'm asumeing that the man who was following was the man in the yellow suit. is mr jackson and the man in the yellow suit in league together? or related in someway? having the water what would the man in the suit still want with the family? unless they want winnie cause she will inherent the ownership of the woods and the spring.

I think that the big port city in america would have been new york. In another unrealted book i read where it talked about a transatlantic crossing took at least 2 weeks. if that helps.

you should separate the third person point of view of the man in the suit from winnie's p.o.v. will make it easier on the reader.

but other than that i think you did good.

i think you did your self a rather large injustice by rushing the endding and not adding ship life. cause if the man in the suit and the rejected suitor were on the same ship than it would be very hard to advoid each other, i mean a ship is only so big. not that many places you can go without eventually crossing paths. I like the idea of seeing them enjoying ship life. did they happen to travel 1st class? cause i know that from reserach done on titanic that ship linners at the time the quality of the aminties differed drasticly between classes.

you should go back and add it cause you could show that not only was ship life good for the couple, but there would also be close calls by those that are spying on them. if the ones following them took third class tickets or worse stowed away they have a hard time keeping track but would manage to not cross paths with the ones they followed. it would also explain why they lost them in the hustle and bussle of the port city as people disembarked the ship.

Will winnie and jessie be married by the time the 2 following them catch up to them? or will they burst into the wedding itslef? have either of the men drank any of the water that the man in the suit took from the spring? or is the man in the suit holding out on his co-hort?

one question that is an intersting thing to think of, if the spring stops them wherer they are without change will she even be able to have kids? I mean that would require quite a big change in her body to carry a child? and I would think that it was proved in both that book and moive that the immortal status of the parent did not cross over to the offspring. So after their children are born and grow up it will be their choice wether to drink or not.
