I enjoyed this piece. I loved the mood and tone you set. It is intriguing to think of being torn between two parts of yourself - especially in the context of those two parts being at odds with one another.

Oh, this brings back memories - watching "Daniel Boone" and "The Lone Ranger" with my grandfather every Sunday after church. My favorite line from DB was Mingo assuring a frightened pioneer woman "Don't worry, ma'am. I've been civilized." The story itself reminds me of a JJ Kent song, but darned if I can remember the song title or which CD it's from.
